Columbia Yachts

Columbia Yachts Corporation operated from 1960 to 1991 as one of America's major fiberglass sailboat manufacturers. Founded by Richard Valdes, Columbia produced boats designed by William Crealock, Sparkman & Stephens, and other notable designers. The company was known for solid construction, traditional styling, and boats that appealed to serious cruising sailors. Popular models included the Columbia 26, 29, 34, and larger offshore cruisers. Columbia helped make quality sailboats accessible during the recreational boating boom and established Southern California as a major yacht building center.
