Colorado Composites

Colorado Composites, Inc. (CCI) was a specialized composite manufacturing company based in Evergreen, Colorado, renowned in the early 2000s for producing high-performance, lightweight carbon-fiber boats, particularly under license from Ian Farrier's Farrier Marine designs. Founded around 2000 by Bill Adams, the company focused on advanced composite construction techniques like pre-preg carbon with Nomex honeycomb cores, targeting the trailerable multihull market. CCI is best known for building the ultra-rare F-25C carbon trimaran (~20–25 units) and a handful of fiberglass variants (F-25G, ~5 units), which set benchmarks for speed and rigidity in folding trimarans.
The company ceased boatbuilding operations around 2006–2007 amid shifting market dynamics and economic challenges in the custom composites sector. As of October 2025, CCI is defunct—its website (coloradocomposites.com) expired and is now for sale as a domain. No active revival or successor entity has been reported, though its legacy endures through the cult following of its boats.
