Lancraft

Location: 526 E. Alton Ave., Santa Ana, CA 92707. This was in an industrial pocket of Santa Ana, near the Santa Ana River and close to other marine-related businesses. Alton Avenue was (and still is) dotted with light manufacturing, auto shops, and boat services—ideal for a small-scale builder like Lancraft. Active through 1973–1974; shuttered by ~1975 amid economic pressures (oil crisis, rising resin costs) and competition from bigger players like O'Day and Laser.
