Yorktown 39C
Description
The Yorktown 39C is a variant of the Yorktown 39 (sometimes listed as Yorktown 39C for specific configurations, like center cockpit or a particular sail plan iteration), a classic American fiberglass cruising sailboat from the 1970s. It was built by Yorktown Marine Corp (Long Beach, California, USA; also associated with Henry R. McCune Shipbuilders), with production starting in 1974. Many were sold as semi-finished kits for owner completion, leading to variations in fit/finish and layouts. Designer: Hank McCune (Henry "Hank" McCune, a California-based naval architect known for practical offshore cruisers; he appeared on TV's "The Hank McCune Show" in the 1950s, adding a bit of pop-culture lore to his designs).
