Yamaha 24 MS

Yamaha 24 MS

Description

The Yamaha 24 MS (often listed as Yamaha 24 MS, Yamaha MS-24, or simply Yamaha 24) is a compact Japanese-built fiberglass pocket cruiser/motorsailer from Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd. (primarily known for engines/motorcycles but produced a small line of sailboats in the 1970s–1980s). It was manufactured from approximately 1975–1987 (some sources cite 1976–1987), with a shoal-draft fixed keel, inboard diesel auxiliary (hence "MS" for motorsailer), and emphasis on practical coastal cruising for couples or small families—shallow draft for exploring bays/inlets, reliable power for light wind or motoring, and decent sailing performance for its size.
