Tasman 26
Description
The Tasman 26 (also known as the Adams Tasman 26) is a 26-foot (LOA 25.98 ft / 7.92 m) masthead sloop designed by Australian naval architect Joe Adams. It was built in fiberglass primarily in Australia (by Tasman Yachts or associated small yards) from around 1980 into the late 1980s/early 1990s. Production numbers were modest, making it a relatively uncommon but well-regarded pocket cruiser/daysailer in Australian waters, with some examples exported or sailed elsewhere. This design emphasizes nimble performance, easy handling, and surprising interior space for its size. It features a fin keel with spade rudder and a relatively wide beam (around 9.5–9.8 ft / ~2.9–3.0 m), which gives it good form stability and a roomy feel below (headroom often noted as ~6'6" / 2 m).
