Sunstar 28 - Tall Rig
Description
The boat was built by Spencer Boats Ltd. in Richmond, BC, Canada, primarily from around 1980–1985 (after the original Sun 27 production by Reinell ended). Spencer versions are often regarded as higher quality, with minor changes like a reworked transom for an LPG locker, making the LOA slightly longer than the original 27.5-foot Sun 27. Total production of the Sunstar 28 was modest (roughly 65–75 units), and boats are scattered across North America and beyond.
