SUN 27
Description
The Sun 27 is a 27‑foot fractional sloop designed by T. J. Wade and built by Sun Yachts (Canada) from 1977 to 1984, with approximately 100 boats produced. Known for its lightweight construction, responsive performance, and spacious interior for its size, the Sun 27 features a fin keel, spade rudder, and modern hull lines that deliver good speed and handling. Construction used balsa‑cored fiberglass with a practical cruising layout including V‑berth, settees, galley, and head. Popular for coastal cruising and club racing, it offers a balance of performance and comfort at an affordable price point.
