Stevenson Projects Weekender
Description
The Stevenson Projects Weekender is a 19'6" plywood pocket cruiser designed by John W. (Jay) R. Benford and offered as plans by Stevenson Projects (USA) since the early 1980s. Intended as an easy amateur build for coastal cruising and weekend adventures, hundreds of plans have been sold worldwide with dozens to low hundreds of boats completed. The design features simple plywood construction, a gaff ketch rig, a roomy cuddy cabin with berths for two (plus settees), a functional galley, and a large open cockpit. Its shoal draft, stability, and seaworthy hull make it ideal for protected waters and short passages. The Weekender epitomizes affordable, practical small‑cruiser design for DIY builders.
