Stevens Custom 47

Stevens Custom 47

Description

The Stevens Custom 47 is a 47‑foot bluewater cruising yacht designed by Dick Carter and built by Stevens Yachts (Foekje Brouwer yard, Netherlands) from the late 1970s through the early 1980s. Approximately 12–15 hulls were produced, each as a semi‑custom order showcasing Stevens' exceptional Dutch craftsmanship. The Custom 47 combines Carter's fast hull lines with a fin keel, skeg‑hung rudder, powerful fractional sloop rig, and luxurious accommodations. Construction featured premium hand‑laid fiberglass, balsa coring, extensive teak joinery, and high‑end deck gear. Known for its balance of performance, comfort, and seaworthiness, the Custom 47 excels at fast ocean passages while offering center‑cockpit security and spacious living quarters.
