Description
SPIRIT 36 is a European cruising sailboat designed by Jacques (or Jac./Koos) De Ridder and built by Van Heygen (also spelled Van Heijgen) in Boom, Belgium, starting around 1986. Approximately 87 units were produced. It follows in the Van de Stadt design tradition (De Ridder was connected to the Van de Stadt family/office), emphasizing balanced, predictable hulls with good upwind performance and comfortable accommodations for coastal or longer-distance cruising.
