Spiral Dinghy

Spiral Dinghy

Description

The Spiral Dinghy (also known simply as the Spiral) is a lightweight, single-handed fiberglass sailing dinghy designed by New Zealand naval architect Alan Warwick. First built in 1973 by Modern Concept Yachts (NZ), it was created as an affordable, accessible one-design class for juniors, lighter sailors, and anyone seeking fun, responsive sailing without the demands of larger or heavier boats. Over 500 have been built, with strong popularity in New Zealand and especially Australia, where active fleets and national associations support racing and recreational use.
