Spencer 35 MK II
Description
The Spencer 35 Mk II (also called Mark II) is the updated version of the classic Canadian-designed Spencer 35 cruising sailboat, introduced around 1974 (with some changes appearing earlier). Designer John Brandlmayr and builder Spencer Boats Ltd. (Richmond, BC) produced it as a semi-custom fiberglass bluewater cruiser. The Mk II incorporated feedback from offshore sailors, including influences from Hal Roth's voyages on his earlier Spencer 35 Whisper. Total production for the Spencer 35 series (both Mk I and Mk II) was limited, around 64 hulls, making them relatively rare and sought-after by traditionalists.
