Sirocco 31

Description

The Sirocco 31 (also known as the Mistral Sirocco 31 or Seal 31 in some markets) is a classic fiberglass cruiser-racer designed by Scottish naval architect Angus Primrose in the early 1970s, with production starting in 1971 by Mistral Yachts (Spain) and Ballina Marine (also Spain). It's a moderate-displacement sloop optimized for coastal cruising, club racing, or weekend family adventures on bays, lakes, or nearshore waters, accommodating 4-6 people with a focus on stability, seaworthiness, and easy short-handed handling. The design features a fin keel for good upwind performance and a spacious interior with a U-shaped galley, nav station, and convertible saloon, making it a practical "pocket cruiser" despite its modest size. Variants include the Mk II (with refined hull lines for better immersion) and a centerboard version for shallower drafts. Production totaled around 200-300 units until the mid-1980s, and it's now a sought-after used classic for its solid build and value, often compared to the Sadler 32 for similar performance but with a more traditional sheer line.

Custom sail calculations are not possible for this boat as no I, J, P and E dimensions are available.
