Sigma 35

Sigma 35

Description

The Sigma 35 is a 35-foot fractional sloop designed by David Thomas and built by Marine Projects Ltd. (for Sigma Yachts) in Plymouth, UK, primarily in the late 1980s to early 1990s (examples commonly dated around 1991). It is a relatively rare model in the Sigma lineup, with limited production numbers (far fewer than the popular Sigma 33 or 38, likely in the low dozens based on scarcity on the used market and references to the 29 and 35 as "less successful" in terms of volume compared to flagship one-designs). Positioned as a manageable family cruiser-racer, it offers solid fiberglass construction, a fin keel with spade rudder, responsive performance, and practical accommodations while retaining the quick, enjoyable sailing character of David Thomas designs.
