Seidelmann 245
Description
The Seidelmann 245 was one of the smaller entries in the Seidelmann line — a trailerable performance cruiser designed by Bob Seidelmann and built by Seidelmann Yachts (New Jersey, USA) in the mid-1980s (roughly 1984–1986). It evolved from the earlier Seidelmann 24, but with modernized lines, a fractional rig, and a more refined interior, aimed at sailors wanting a sporty, responsive boat that could still cruise comfortably for weekends. The design philosophy was to combine “big boat feel” in a legally trailerable package, with solid performance under sail and reasonable accommodations for two to four people. Production numbers are modest, estimated at under 100 hulls.
