Sea Midge

Sea Midge

Description

The Sea Midge is one of Selway Fisher Design’s most admired small-boat designs — a compact, light, and versatile sharpie-type skiff created by Paul Fisher. It’s intended as a junior sailing dinghy or small general-purpose boat that is easy to build, row, or sail. True to Selway Fisher’s style, the Sea Midge combines simple, quick plywood construction with efficient, attractive hull lines that perform nicely under both oar and sail. Its design roots stem from the American sharpie tradition, but with modern proportions that make it safer and easier for the home builder or novice sailor.
