Rodgers 24
Description
The Rodgers 24 (sometimes spelled Rogers 24) is a lightweight American trailerable sailboat designed by O. H. Rodgers (a naval architect known for high-performance MORC and club racers in the late 1970s–1980s) and built by Captiva Yachts (USA) starting in 1981. It was conceived as a pure racing machine for MORC (Midget Ocean Racing Club) rules—very light for its time, with a fractional rig and swept spreaders for agility and speed. Production was limited (not a high-volume boat), and it later evolved into the Captiva 240 (a modified racer-cruiser version by Walter Scott with tweaks to keel and rig for better cruising balance).
