Piver Stiletto

Piver Stiletto

Description

The Piver Stiletto is a high-performance catamaran designed by Bill Higgins and Don Ansley in 1976, built by Force Engineering (later known as Stiletto Catamarans) in Florida. Approximately 500 units were produced during a 10-year production run from 1976 to 1986, with most being Special Edition models and only six boats being GTs. The builder marketed her trailerability, "scorching performance" and "cruising comforts," positioning her as the next step for sailors weaned on small high-performance catamarans. Force Engineering was a small, high-tech outfit that utilized advanced materials including Nomex coring in the hulls, the same material used in aircraft parts like helicopter blades. The boat features fiberglass construction with prepreg/Nomex core technology, dual daggerboards, and a fractional sloop rig designed for both performance sailing and cruising comfort.
