Pinnacle 29

Pinnacle 29

Description

The Pinnacle 29 is a classic performance-oriented sailboat (masthead sloop) from the mid-1980s, designed by renowned naval architect Doug Peterson. It was essentially a production version of the earlier MORC (Midget Ocean Racing Club) racer known as the Pinnacle 30 (or "Perfect Stranger"), with only a handful built—around 5 units between 1985 and 1988. The slight name change to "29" was apparently a marketing tweak that didn't catch on widely. This boat was built for competitive racing with a focus on speed, handling, and a good power-to-weight ratio, while still being usable for coastal cruising. It's a fiberglass hull with a fin keel and spade rudder for excellent maneuverability (though less directional stability than full-keel designs).
