Pinky Schooner 34

Pinky Schooner 34

Description

The PINKY SCHOONER 34 is a sailboat.James Douglas Rosborough (1929–2020), the Nova Scotia-based naval architect, boatbuilder, and founder of Rosborough Boats (established 1955), was renowned for reviving classic Maritime schooner traditions in wood (later fiberglass influences), converting fishing vessels into yachts, and designing elegant, traditional sailing craft like his famous Privateer class (schooner-rigged, often 30–56 ft, with variants like ketch, brigantine, or schooner rigs; over 60 built, e.g., hulls like Royal Scott/Bliss/Weatherfoot from the 1970s). Rosborough's work drew heavily from historic Nova Scotia and New England types—including pinky schooners (double-ended, pinched-stern fishing vessels from the 18th–early 20th centuries, suited to inshore work, beaching, and rough seas)
