Pantanal 25
Description
The Pantanal 25 is a modern trailerable pocket cruiser/racer designed by Roberto Barros (of Roberto Barros Yacht Design / BG Yacht Design, often in collaboration or under B&G Yacht Design branding) primarily for amateur and professional wood-epoxy or GRP/foam sandwich construction. Introduced in the early 2000s (with plans still available today), it features a lifting/retractable keel for easy trailering and beaching (min draft ~2.1 ft, max ~5.35 ft), a spacious cockpit accommodating 6 people, a surprisingly roomy interior for its size (suitable as a "camping" boat with berths and basic amenities), fin keel with spade rudder when down, masthead sloop rig, and emphasis on good performance in coastal/light-air sailing while remaining inexpensive and fast to build; it's popular among home builders (examples launched in places like Spain and Brazil), with limited numbers produced as a plans-based design rather than mass-factory built, and remains in "production" via plan sales.
