Oysterman 23 Sloop
Description
The Oysterman 23 represents Bill Menger's passionate homage to the classic Chesapeake Bay skipjack, translating the working boat heritage into a modern recreational sailboat. Based upon the general lines of the Howard Chappelle-designed Blue Crab skipjack and intended to resemble traditional 19th century oyster fishing boats of the Chesapeake Bay area, this design captures the essence of America's maritime working boat tradition while providing modern cruising capability.
