O'Day 7/11 Dinghy
Description
The O'Day 7/11 Dinghy (also known as the Seven/Eleven or simply 7/11) is a compact, versatile fiberglass sailboat designed by O'Day Corp. in the mid-1960s. Introduced around 1966, it served as an ideal beginner's dinghy, yacht tender, and recreational sailboat. Its dual naming reflects its dimensions: 7 feet long for the rowing version (S model) and 11 feet overall for the sailing variant (R model, including a small transom extension for the rudder). The boat's lightweight, unsinkable design made it popular for families, sailing schools, and casual outings on small lakes or bays. Production was limited compared to O'Day's larger models, but it remains a collectible classic for its simplicity and affordability.
