Nicholson 32 Mk X
Description
The Nicholson 32 Mk X (also called Nic 32 Mk X or part of the Nicholson 32 Mk X/XI series in some records) is a later, significantly updated evolution of the classic Camper & Nicholsons 32 bluewater cruiser. Introduced around 1972 (hull numbers roughly 237–329 for Mk X), it incorporated major modernization and restyling while retaining the boat's legendary seaworthiness, robust GRP construction, and long-keel stability. Later Mk XI variants (from ~1977–1983, often sold directly by Halmatic) built on this with minor cost-reduction tweaks but are very similar. The Mk X represented the most substantial redesign in the series (no Mk IX existed), addressing feedback for more space, modernity, and practicality without sacrificing the "go-anywhere" pedigree. Many owners consider Mk X/XI the most desirable marks due to improved accommodations, better fit-out, and a more contemporary look compared to earlier models.
