Moore 24 (Morning Light 24)

Description

The Moore 24, often referred to as the "Morning Light 24" in some regional listings or variations, is a classic fiberglass sailboat designed by Ted Brewer and built by Moore Custom Yachts from 1971 to the late 1970s, with approximately 100–150 units produced. Featuring a fin keel, spade rudder, raked stem, and reverse transom, it’s a lightweight racer-cruiser optimized for coastal and offshore racing under IOR/MORC rules, with modest accommodations for weekend cruising. Powered by an outboard auxiliary (typically 4–9.9 hp in a well) or optional inboard diesel, with tiller steering, it’s agile, trailerable, and responsive, appealing to club racers and coastal sailors.
