Marieholm 26
Description
The Marieholm 26 is a compact, seaworthy Swedish cruiser-racer designed by Tord Sundén (a prolific designer best known for the International Folkboat) as an upgraded GRP evolution of the IF Boat with increased interior volume and comfort for family cruising. Built by Marieholm Boats (Marieholms Bruk, Sweden) from the 1970s to the 1980s, it features solid fiberglass construction with a long keel and transom-hung rudder for excellent directional stability and grounding forgiveness, a fractional sloop rig for easy handling and good light-air performance, and a cozy interior (sleeps 4–5 with V-berth + saloon settees, galley, heads, headroom ~1.8 m / 5'11"). Only a modest number were produced (exact figures not published, but several hundred estimated across production runs).
