Jeanneau Fantasia 27
Description
The Jeanneau Fantasia 27 (often simply called the Fantasia) is a popular French production cruiser designed by renowned naval architect Philippe Harlé, known for his efficient, spacious hulls that prioritize family-friendly comfort over outright racing speed. Introduced in 1981 as one of Jeanneau's early mass-market successes, it was built until 1991 with over 1,743 units completed (some sources cite up to 1,800), making it a common sight on the used market. In 1987, it evolved into the more cruising-oriented Sun Way 27 with minor interior tweaks, and production wrapped up by 1996 under the Jeanneau banner. At 27 feet, it's a trailerable, shallow-draft pocket cruiser ideal for coastal hopping, weekends, or light blue water jaunts—especially in Europe—thanks to its versatile keel options (fin, twin, or centerboard/lifting). With a wide beam and open interior, it punches above its size in livability, earning praise as an "advanced boat for its day" with teak accents and a balanced sail plan.
