Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42.2

Description

The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42.2 is a French cruising sailboat designed by Jacques Fauroux, introduced in 1991 and produced until around 1996. It was crafted as a versatile family cruiser with a balance of performance, comfort, and affordability, appealing to both private owners and charter fleets (notably as the Stardust 42.2). Constructed with a solid fiberglass hull and balsa-cored deck, it features a masthead sloop rig optimized for shorthanded sailing. Approximately 300-400 units were built, with variants including deep-draft fin keel, shoal-draft keel, and a wing keel for stability in shallow waters.
