Irwin 41 Cc Ketch

Description

The Irwin 41 Center Cockpit (CC) Ketch is a fiberglass blue water cruising sailboat designed by naval architect Ted Irwin and built by Irwin Yachts from 1982 to 1987. This model was specifically engineered for long-distance offshore voyages, liveaboard comfort, and ease of handling in heavy weather, featuring a masthead ketch rig for balanced sail plan and reduced sail loads. With a center cockpit for protected steering, it's renowned for its spacious interior, stability, and seaworthiness, making it ideal for couples or small families embarking on extended cruises like Caribbean loops or transatlantic crossings. Unlike the performance-oriented Irwin 41 Citation (a racer based on Ted Irwin's SORC-winning Razzle Dazzle), the CC Ketch prioritizes comfort over speed. Approximately 100-150 hulls were produced, with options for cutter rig, fixed keel, or keel/centerboard for draft versatility. Displacement in cruising mode 29000
