Hallberg-Rassy 41
Description
The Hallberg-Rassy 41 is a classic Swedish bluewater cruiser designed by Olle Enderlein (with input from Christoph Rassy) and built by Hallberg-Rassy Varv in Sweden from 1975 to 1981, with 105 hulls produced—making it a relatively rare but highly influential model that served as the yard's flagship during its run and set trends for future HR designs (e.g., introducing the signature blue hull stripe and full walk-through access to the aft cabin). This center-cockpit yacht (primarily masthead ketch rig, though some sloop variants exist) prioritizes long-distance seaworthiness, comfort, and luxury for its era, featuring solid fiberglass construction with a fin keel (keel and rudder separated for better maneuverability) and skeg-hung rudder, encapsulated steel ballast in a deep bilge for protection and stability, high freeboard, a protective windscreen, and generous interior volume (multiple cabins with private aft stateroom, dual heads, spacious saloon/galley, and excellent storage/headroom)—ideal for ocean crossings, family cruising, or extended liveaboard use.
