Hallberg-Rassy 31

Hallberg-Rassy 31

Description

The Hallberg-Rassy 31 is a highly respected Swedish bluewater pocket cruiser designed by Germán Frers and built by Hallberg-Rassy Varv in Sweden from 1992 to 2009, with a total of 356 hulls produced across its run (including the later Mk II refinements starting around hull #307)—one of the longest production spans in HR history. This fractional sloop combines modern performance with legendary HR build quality: solid fiberglass hull, lead keel on a deep bilge for protection and stability, skeg-hung spade rudder for responsive yet forgiving handling, and a sleek, efficient hull that delivers excellent pointing ability, balanced helm, and a comfortable, sea-kindly motion in varied conditions—suitable for single-handed, couple, or family coastal/offshore cruising (CE Category A for unlimited ocean voyages).
