The Gulf 39, a robust pilothouse cruiser designed by David Pedrick and produced by Capital Yachts in Harbor City, California, from 1986 to 1989 with approximately 50 hulls built before the company's closure, represents the builder's upscale foray into larger, all-weather bluewater-capable vessels for serious coastal or offshore voyagers seeking enclosed comfort without sacrificing performance.
