Greyhound 20 Ts
Description
The Greyhound 20 TS, a compact trailerable sloop designed by Dutch naval architect W. Jenneskens and produced by Yacht-Service Jenneskens in the Netherlands from 1975 to 1990 (with around 200 hulls built), offers a blend of coastal cruising comfort and modest racing potential in an affordable fiberglass package suited for solo or family sailors. Measuring 20 feet 4 inches LOA with a 16-foot-6-inch LWL, 7-foot-10-inch beam, and 1,764-pound displacement including 772 pounds of ballast for a respectable .44 ballast/displacement ratio ensuring stiffness in breezes up to 20 knots, it features a fixed fin keel drawing 3 feet 7 inches (or optional swing keel for shallower drafts) and a fractional sloop rig with 237 square feet of sail area—delivering a SA/D ratio of 18.6 for lively performance (PHRF around 220) at hull speeds up to 5.7 knots, though its D/L ratio of 185 classifies it as a light cruiser rather than a bluewater beast. Ship Builder: Rohl Bootsbau (Germany), produced from 1974 to 1990
