Granada 27

Granada 27

Description

The Granada 27 is a compact Danish cruiser-racer designed by Elvstrøm & Kjærulff (Paul Elvstrøm and Jan Kjærulff, the famous Olympic sailor and his collaborator) and built by Gesten Glasfiber Bådeværft (under the Granada Yachts brand) in Denmark from 1977 to 1981, with approximately 400 hulls produced. This fiberglass monohull masthead sloop emphasizes a balance of performance and family comfort—good light-air capability from its generous sail plan, forgiving handling, and a surprisingly spacious interior for its size (berths for 4–5, V-berth forward, saloon settees, compact galley, enclosed head, headroom ~6 ft). It's known for solid construction, seaworthiness in moderate conditions (e.g., coastal or short offshore), and value as an '80s classic.
