Goshawk 14
Description
The Goshawk 14 is a 14-foot sailboat designed by Paul Fisher of Selway Fisher Design Ltd as an evolution of the Skylark design, created when a client requested a wider and deeper variant. This is a plans-only design for amateur construction using stitch-and-tape plywood methods, with no specific production numbers available since boats are individually built by home constructors. The design features a flat-bottom hull with 4 planks per side, requiring 11 sheets of 9mm marine plywood, and offers enhanced accommodation potential with its 24-inch hull depth compared to typical 18-inch dinghies, allowing for cuddy installation or overnight camping under a boom tent with shallow-draft versatility for beach launching and shallow water exploration.
