Gib Sea Master 35 (352 Master)
Description
The Gib'Sea 35 Master (also known as Gib Sea 35 Master or Gib'Sea 352 Master) is a French family cruiser designed by Joubert/Nivelt (Michel Joubert and Bernard Nivelt) and built by Gibert Marine (Gib'Sea/Gibert Marine) in France starting in the late 1980s to early 1990s (primarily 1988–1994, as the "Master" variant of the Gib'Sea 352). This fiberglass monohull masthead sloop emphasizes comfort and volume in a compact package—often featuring an owner's aft cabin (a key "Master" distinction over standard layouts), spacious saloon, V-berth forward, galley, enclosed head (with shower in many), and berths sleeping 6 (headroom ~1.85 m / 6 ft 1 in). It's praised for solid French build quality, forgiving handling, good seaworthiness for coastal/offshore use (e.g., Channel or Mediterranean passages), and a "big boat" feel—suitable for family cruising or extended weekends, with a reliable inboard diesel (e.g., Yanmar 3GM30 ~27 hp or similar). Production was moderate for the era (tied to the Gib'Sea 352 run, hundreds total), with many examples well-maintained or refitted today.
