The Gib Sea 242 (also styled Gib'Sea 242) is a compact French pocket cruiser designed by Groupe Graal and built by Gibert Marine (Gib'Sea/Gibert Marine) in France from 1987 to 1993, with production in the low hundreds (exact count not widely documented but limited for this model). This fiberglass monohull fractional sloop emphasizes roominess, versatility, and affordability as a family-friendly trailerable cruiser—often equipped with a swing keel (centerplate/lifting keel) for shallow access and trailering, plus an outboard motor (e.g., 5–15 hp petrol like Suzuki or Tohatsu) in a cockpit well.
