Gib Sea 20

Gib Sea 20

Description

The Gib Sea 20 (also styled Gib'Sea 20) is a compact French pocket cruiser designed by Michel Joubert and built by Gib'sea/Gibert Marine in France from 1975 to 1980, with approximately 260 hulls produced. This fiberglass monohull masthead sloop emphasizes simplicity, affordability, and easy handling for daysailing, lake/coastal use, or short overnights—lightweight and trailerable, with basic accommodations (V-berth forward, small saloon, possible quarter berths sleeping 2–4, compact galley/head optional). It's known for forgiving performance, decent stability, and fun in moderate conditions, though limited in heavy weather due to its small size. Auxiliary power is typically an outboard (e.g., recent examples mention 6 hp 2-stroke).
