Frers 38 DK
Description
The Frers 38 DK (often listed as Frers 38 DK or denoting the "Deep Keel" variant) is a high-performance cruiser-racer designed by renowned Argentine naval architect German Frers and built by Carroll Marine in the USA starting in 1988. This model is essentially the standard or deep-draft configuration of the Frers 38 (with a deeper fin keel for enhanced upwind performance and stability compared to modified bulb, wing, or shoal variants that many hulls received post-production or during the run to address rating/stability concerns). Production was limited to just 18 hulls total for the Frers 38 series, with the DK/deep versions appearing on specific hulls (e.g., hulls 1, 10, 16–18 per PHRF-NE variant records, though many boats were later altered).
