Frers 36

Frers 36

Description

The Frers 36 is a classic performance cruiser-racer designed by German Frers, one of the most respected naval architects known for elegant, fast yachts (including many Nautor Swans). This model was originally developed as the Hinterhoeller F3 (around 1982–1984), then acquired and refined by Carroll Marine in the USA starting in 1984, who updated the deck and coachroof design and marketed it as the F 36 and later the Frers 36. Built in fiberglass with a lead ballast keel and spade rudder, it's celebrated for its balanced handling, excellent upwind performance, and versatility—strong in both club racing and coastal/offshore cruising.
