Frers 26

Frers 26

Description

The FRERS 21 is a compact cruiser-racer with spirited performance, suitable for coastal cruising and short overnight trips. Production was limited, mainly in South America, which explains its rarity—no current listings on major broker sites like YachtWorld or Ancasta. If it's sometimes called the "Frers 21," that could stem from database variations or the LWL approximation, but the design is confirmed as Frers' work from his early career focusing on smaller racers. This boat was designed by German Frers as an IOR 1/4-ton racer, first built in 1981 by Tonner Sailboats in Brazil (later by Mariner Construções Náuticas Ltd.). It has a fin keel, fractional sloop rig, and light displacement for performance sailing. A cruiser version exists under the name Tonner 26.
