Laita Pram

Laita Pram

Description

The François Vivier Laita Pram (often called Laïta or simply Laita Pram) is a charming 3.60 m (11 ft 10 in) sail-and-oar pram dinghy designed by French naval architect François Vivier. It's inspired by traditional Norwegian prams (small, stable, transom-bowed rowing boats), adapted for modern plywood construction with excellent rowing and sailing qualities. Laïta is ideal for beginners (youths or adults), family outings, or gentle coastal exploration—stable, seaworthy, safe (pram bow reduces pitching), and easy to handle/reef. It's lightweight enough to car-top (check your car's roof limit) or trailer, with good carrying capacity for 2–3 people plus gear.
