Flamenca 24 (Flamenca 25)

Flamenca 24 (Flamenca 25)

Description

The Flamenca 24 (also listed as Flamenca 25 in some databases, with LOA often rounded to 25 ft or 24'7") is a South African masthead sloop daysailer/cruiser designed by Oswald Berkemeyer and built by Nebe Boatworks (South Africa) starting in 1976. It's a compact, trailerable pocket cruiser popular in South Africa (especially Cape waters) for its stability, ease of handling (single-handed friendly), and safety in rough conditions—often praised as one of the best learner boats there, with self-righting ability and good capsize resistance. The hull is fiberglass, with a fin keel and spade rudder for responsive performance. It's known for fast reaching, capable spinnaker work, and solid build quality for the era.
