Feeling 446 (Elite 446)
Description
The Feeling 446 (also known as the Kirie Feeling 446 or Elite 446 in some markets) is a spacious French bluewater-oriented cruiser-racer built by Kirie (later Alliaura Marine) from 1988 to the mid-1990s, with a limited production run (estimates around 50–100 hulls total, as it's a higher-end semi-custom model in the Feeling series). Designed by Harlé-Mortain & Mavrikios (Philippe Harlé, Bernard Mortain, and Mavrikios), it's an evolution of the Feeling line (like the 416/346), focusing on generous interior volume (often 3–4 cabins, 6–8 berths, large saloon/galley), bright/airy layout (big coachroof windows), and solid performance for coastal/offshore cruising or club racing. It's a masthead sloop rig (overlapping genoas for power), fin keel (standard deep draft for upwind bite) or optional shoal keel variants, spade rudder, wheel steering, and self-draining aft cockpit. Construction is fiberglass (GRP laminate) with good build quality for the era (heavily laid-up, though older interiors can show woodwork/carpet wear from damp).
