Farrier F-32SR

Description

The Farrier F-32SR (also called F-32SR or Farrier 32SR Sport Racer) is the high-performance racing variant of the Farrier F-32 folding trimaran series, designed by Ian Farrier. It builds on the F-32 plans (released around 2007 as a home/professional build evolution of the F-33 production model) with a focus on lighter weight, taller rotating mast, high-aspect daggerboard/foils, carbon/epoxy construction options, and stripped-down interior for speed—while keeping the patented Farrier Folding System (amas fold inward quickly, no beam hinges) for trailerability and storage. The F-32SR was unveiled/released in July 2009 (per Farrier announcements and historical records), with first builds/completions around 2010–2012 (SailboatData lists first built 2012 for the variant). It's plans-based (no large factory production), so hulls are custom/owner-built or small-yard (e.g., some carbon versions like "Thriller" or "Jail Break" from owners). Dozens exist globally, popular in multihull racing circles for excellent IRC/ORC performance and versatility (fast coastal/offshore racing or aggressive cruising). It's a fractional sloop with rotating mast (for efficient power/depowering and upwind pointing), daggerboard/centerboard for shallow draft and bite, and options for curved foils (retractable for lift/speed). Extremely fast—planes easily, hits high teens to 20+ knots downwind with screecher/asymmetric spinnaker, and stable with amas providing buoyancy without extreme heeling.
