Farr 3.7

Description

The Farr 3.7 (also known as the 3.7 Farr or simply 3.7) is a high-performance singlehanded sailing dinghy designed by Bruce Farr in 1971. Originally created as a personal project for Farr himself, it's a trapeze-equipped skiff inspired by his successful 12ft and 18ft designs, emphasizing planing speed, simplicity, and amateur buildability. The hull is one-design, with plans sold by the Farr 3.7 Class Owners Association, allowing home or professional construction in plywood/foam and fiberglass. Primarily sailed in New Zealand, Australia, and Great Britain, it's recognized as a national class by Yachting New Zealand. Over ~200 units have been built worldwide, with active fleets in club racing and youth programs. It's ideal for lightweight sailors (under 75 kg) seeking a thrilling, responsive boat that's forgiving yet fast.

Custom sail calculations are not possible for this boat as no I, J, P and E dimensions are available.
