Endeavourcat 44

Endeavourcat 44

Description

The EndeavourCat 44 (also known as Endeavour 44 SailCat or Endeavourcat Sailcat 44) is a spacious cruising catamaran produced by Endeavour Catamaran Corporation (Clearwater, Florida, USA) in the early 2000s, designed by the in-house Endeavour Design team (often listed as Endeavour Design or Endeavour Design Group). It builds on the company's smaller cat models with enhanced bridge deck clearance, a fractional sloop rig for manageable shorthanded sailing, fiberglass construction with foam core elements, fixed keels for shallow draft, and twin inboard diesel engines (typically Yanmar around 30–40 hp each). The boat excels as a liveaboard or extended coastal/bluewater cruiser, offering exceptional interior volume (equivalent to much larger monohulls), including 3 cabins (often with a full-beam master), 2 heads, a large saloon/galley with high headroom (around 6'8"), ample storage/tankage, and wide side decks for safety; it was praised in owner reports for good reaching performance (up to 8–10+ knots in breeze) while being more "condo-like" than performance-oriented, with some noting moderate windward ability but solid offshore capability when handled conservatively. Production was limited (part of a small series, with examples from ~2002–2005 noted as award-winners like Sail Magazine's Boat of the Year in category), and many are still actively cruised or listed today
