EndeavourCat 30

EndeavourCat 30

Description

The EndeavourCat 30 (also known as Endeavourcat 30) is a compact cruising catamaran introduced in 1992 by Endeavour Catamaran Corporation (later Endeavour International Corp., based in the USA), evolving from earlier designs like the Intercat 1500 with significant updates for better cruising comfort. Designed by Endeavour/Cortland Steck (in-house team, with input from Cortland Steck), it features fiberglass construction with foam/polypropylene core, twin hulls without daggerboards or asymmetric setups, fixed shallow keels for excellent ICW/coastal access, a fractional sloop rig with a large mainsail and self-tacking jib for easy shorthanded sailing, and often a single outboard (e.g., Honda gas) or inboard diesel auxiliary. The boat is renowned for offering interior volume equivalent to a 40-foot monohull in a 30-foot package, including two double berth staterooms, a head with shower, spacious galley, large U-shaped dinette/saloon, good headroom (around 6'4"), and ample tankage/storage for liveaboard or extended cruising—prioritizing stability, comfort, and ease over high performance, with a moderate sail area/displacement ratio and good off-wind potential in breeze. Production was limited as part of Endeavour's catamaran series, with many examples still sailing today as affordable, roomy cruisers.
