Elite 32 Tall Rig
Description
The Elite 32 Tall Rig (also known as Kirié Elite 32 Tall Rig or Elite 32 Tall) is the tall-rig variant of the French Elite 32, a performance-oriented cruiser/racer designed by Philippe Harlé (with Mortain & Mavrikios contributions) and built by Kirié in France from 1981 to 1986. Approximately 370 hulls were produced across all Elite 32 configurations (with the tall rig being a sought-after option for owners wanting enhanced light-air power, upwind speed, and pointing ability while retaining the boat's forgiving handling, stability, and seaworthiness). It features a sleek fiberglass hull with a fin keel and spade rudder, a fractional sloop rig optimized for efficiency and balance, and a comfortable interior for 4–6 people (V-berth forward, saloon settees, galley, enclosed head). The tall rig adds mast height and sail area for improved performance in moderate/light conditions, making it a lively, competitive coastal cruiser/racer suitable for club racing or family cruising.
